Grower Partner

Commercial, social and environmental excellence starts on the farm—where fibre supply, quality, integrity and impact begin.

Yet, most growers are not recognised and rewarded for their commercial, social and environmental excellence. They remain under-resourced, marginalized and obscured within traditional commodity trade markets.

It’s time to transform trade for good.

  • Individual growers primarily focused on sowing, growing, and harvesting and selling raw materials (raw cotton) and cotton (lint) to aggregators, co-ops, processors, merchants. May or may not own their own processing facilities.

*Requires a minimum of one legal persons or entity and 1 hectare of owned, leased or shared crop land to join Sourcery as a Grower Partner.

  • Mulit-grower organisations such as grower co-operatives, farm groups, producer organisations, etc. that include twenty-five (25) or more growers organized under one or more legal entities, internal control management systems, etc. May or may not own/operate a processing facility.

*Minimum number of growers to register as a cooperative in Sourcery is 25 individual growers and at least 25 hectares of crop land.

  • Processes raw cotton (e.g. seed cotton) into processed lint cotton bales and other by-products. May provide contract services to growers, cooperatives or traders who in turnsell lint cotton to other merchants, traders and ultimately to spinning mills.

Processors or processing facilities that are owned by Merchants/Traders require Trade Partner membership.

Manufacture Partner

Manufacturers are the engineers and innovators behind yarn, fabric and finished goods creating more value as fibre is transformed into textiles and products that define our industry—each plays a unique and critical role in the transformation of trade for good.

Yet, most manufacturers are not recognised and rewarded for their commercial, social and environmental excellence and remain undervalued and undifferentiated in traditional fibre , yarn and most fabric markets.

It’s time to transform trade for good.

  • Organisations that purchase fibre (and yarn) and manufacture yarn in their owned and operated facilities and sell yarn to other manufacturer or traders.

  • Organsiations that purchase yarn (and fabric) and manufacture fabric in their owned and operated facilities and sell fabric to other manufacturers or traders.

  • Assembly/CMT (or RMG) organisations who purchase fabric and manufacturer finished goods in their owned and operated facilities and sell finished goods to brands and importers and others.

  • Organisations that offer added-value dyeing, confection, and printing services explicitly to other Sourcery Manufacturer Partners or Trade Partners and are not involved in the direct purchasing and sale of physical fibre, yarn, fabric or finished goods via the Connect Platform.

Trade Partner

Trade Partners serve as the bridge that link the value chain together—providing critical knowledge, finance, storage and logistics and market services that mitigate risk and move fibre, yarn and fabric around the world.

Despite this critically important role, most Trade Partners are not recognised and rewarded for their commitment to commercial and environmental excellence.

Brand Partner

Brands and retailers are the face of industry, creating the products, image and consumer experiences that define our sector—demonstrating to the world that good design, quality, integrity, and impact do matter.

Yet, most brands and retailers have limited upstream visibility and insight into the provenance, commercial trade and environmental and social impact of fibre, yarn, and fabric to confidently stand behind the stories they tell through the products they sell.

It’s time to transform trade for good.

  • Organisations that purchase finished goods from Manufacturer Partners (or Importers) and sell finished goods directly to consumers, wholesalers, distributors or other retailers generally under their own brand or retail trade name.
