About Us
Sourcery is a global sourcing and trading platform for essential commodities and products.
We started in 2020 as a professional services and brokerage firm founded on the belief the belief that agriculture holds immense potential—but recognising that the traditional commodity trade system, in place for nearly two centuries, is holding it back.
In 2023, we began our transition into a digital sourcing and trade platform to accelerate and scale the transformation of trade for good at scale and continue to provide professional services and brokerage solutions to our most trusted Partners and clients.

Since our founding in 2020, we have engaged, collaborated and listened closely to the needs of our Producer, Trade, Manufacturer and Brand Partners who have shared their vision for the future of trade.
This vision includes a commodity trade sector that is more transparent, efficient, inclusive and equitable and is able to deliver more commercial value and profitability to those that grow, process, ship and rely on physical agri- and other commodities for their business, ensuring that the future of industry and life on this planet can be sustained.
Responding to this shared vision, Sourcery has a mandate to transform the future of trade for good.

Sourcery Partners recognize that the future of trade depends on their collective leadership, investment, and shared ownership of the transformation. Grower, Manufacturer, Trade, and Brand Partners can earn or purchase equity in Sourcery by demonstrating a clear commitment to transforming trade for good.
Sourcery founders have reserved up to 75% of all outstanding share equity in Sourcery for Partners to earn or through the Sourcery Equity Credit Programme and by making direct equity investments in Sourcery. 2. The Sourcery Equity Credit Programme includes a five (5) year vesting period whereby the volume traded through Sourcery can earn equity credits that are then be used to purchase and transfer in shares that can hold a value of up to $250,000 USD. The Digital Transformation of Trade for Good.
Sourcery began as a professional service and brokerage firm, supporting early Partners—brands and retailers, manufacturers, civil society organizations, certification bodies, and technology providers—in executing transactions, collecting impact data, and designing innovative finance and trade solutions.
Through this work, we saw the need for a collaborative network—a community of Partners committed to transforming the future of trade for good. We created three interconnected service frameworks that enabled transparent transactions, streamlined and credible supply chain reporting, and even piloted ways for Partners (farmers, manufacturers and brands) to be recognized and financially rewarded for their commercial, social, and environmental leadership.
As interest grew and our client base expanded from 3 to more than 100 suppliers and brands, it became clear that our solutions had to scale far beyond one-off project, isolated transactions and pilots. We began to envisioned a system that could support entire businesses and value chains—a world where transparency is the norm, not the exception; where social and environmental progress is encouraged and rewarded, not imposed; and where supply chain actors around the globe can connect, collaborate, and transform trade for good.
