Sourcery is a global sourcing and trading platform for essential physical commodities and products.
We started in 2020 as a professional services and brokerage firm founded on the belief that the future of agriculture holds immense potential—recognising, however, that the traditional commodity trade system, in place for nearly two centuries, is holding it back.
In 2023, building off our experience we began to transition from a professional services-only company into a for profit multi-stakeholder organisation and digital sourcing and trade platform to help our then clients trade smarter, grow faster and accelerate impact by becoming Partners.
Today, we continue to provide professional services and brokerage solutions to clients and select Partners while embarking on the digital transformation of trade.

Since our founding in 2020, we have engaged, collaborated and listened closely to the needs of our Producer, Trade, Manufacturer and Brand Partners who have shared their vision for the future of trade.
This vision includes a commodity trade sector that is more transparent, efficient, trusting and inclusive and is able to deliver more commercial value and profitability to those that produce, process, ship and rely on physical agri- and other commodities for their business, ensuring that the future of industry and life on this planet can be sustained.

The Digital Transformation of Trade for Good.
Sourcery began as a professional service and brokerage firm, supporting early Partners—brands and retailers, manufacturers, civil society organizations, certification bodies, and technology providers—in executing transactions, collecting impact data, and designing innovative finance and trade solutions.
Through this work, we saw the need for a collaborative network—a community of Partners committed to transforming the future of trade for good. We created three interconnected service frameworks that enabled transparent transactions, streamlined and credible supply chain reporting, and even piloted ways for Partners (farmers, manufacturers and brands) to be recognized and financially rewarded for their commercial, social, and environmental leadership.
As interest grew and our client base expanded from 4 to more than 100 brands and suppliers, it became clear that our solutions had to scale far beyond one-off project, isolated transactions and pilots. We began to envisioned a system that could support entire businesses and value chains—a world where transparency is the norm, not the exception; where social and environmental progress is encouraged and rewarded, not imposed; and where supply chain actors around the globe can connect, collaborate, and transform trade for good.
